A number of new learning spaces will be available in fall 2016.
A renovation of six classrooms in Alameda Hall, the former Fine Arts Building, will be undertaken this summer. Among the new classrooms will be a âSCALE-UPâ classroom for up to 60 students. SCALE-UP, or âStudent-Centered Active Learning Environment for Undergraduate Programsâ classrooms are designed for active and collaborative pedagogies, with multiple whiteboards and technologies throughout the room allowing students to project their own work. The Faculty Collaborative for Teaching Innovation will be offering workshops this spring and fall focused on teaching and learning in the SCALE-UP learning space.
