Jim Miller decided to implement a small version with the resources already in the department. The lab is centered around their senior design project planning and execution.
There is a computer room (actually 2 rooms connected) that has four new PCs with double monitors. Almost all of the undergraduates now have laptops and they were only using department computers to print due to network security and printer access. In the connecting room, I rearranged the tables into a collaborative arrangement. I put white boards around the rooms and planning to put a large LCD in the room as funds become available. This better matches how these students are learning and collaborating.
