We started installing what we call Collaboratories last year.  They are similar to what NC State calls Flyspaces.  There is a table for 4 to 8 folks who have access to a large panel display where they can share resources from their laptops.  We have a very simple configuration where a mechanical switch allows changing from one laptop display to another.  We now have installed a total of 28 Collaboratories.

We are basically putting 4 Collaboratories in a single classroom so that students can break into groups and do group work using computers and again share their work using a large LCD display.

We now have one classroom with 4 Collaboratories and 2 classrooms with 2 Collaboratories.  These are what we call we mini-versions of the SCALE-UP classrooms.

They are quite similar to the pilot room at the University of Minnesota.
