We focus on increasing access to tertiary institutions for many of the disadvantaged south African students. We have adopted a SCALE-Up approach with regards to our new extended BSc programme. For students with weak backgrounds we allow then to do first year over two years. In this there is a strong focus on active and cooperative learning. Our classrooms however have none of the facilities like the ones shown on your website. That is the next battle that is looming.
